AEROSMITH Guitarist To Guest On SIRIUS XM's 'Eddie Trunk Live'
August 31, 2009AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry will guest on "Eddie Trunk Live" tonight (Monday, August 31) on Sirius (channel 19) / XM Radio (channel 53). The program airs from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. EST, but Perry is expected in around 8:00 p.m.
Although AEROSMITH has scrapped its current tour, the group is expected to honor a court settlement by playing concert on the Hawaiian island of Maui this fall. The rockers canceled their remaining tour dates in August after frontman Steven Tyler fell off the stage and broke his shoulder. The Maui show stems back to a 2007 class-action lawsuit. Ticket holders claimed AEROSMITH scrapped the Maui concert in favor of playing a larger show in Chicago and a private, $1 million gig for Toyota on Oahu. This past spring, AEROSMITH said it would play the gig in Maui and also pay back any money that ticket holders spent on the show that never happened. Now according to the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, an AEROSMITH rep says the Maui show will take place "as soon as reasonably possible."
Both Tyler and Perry have been working on solo albums, with a new AEROSMITH record supposedly in the works as well.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Tyler talked about how he's been feeling since the accident, saying, "I've been better. I've got my arm in a sling. I'm on all the drugs I'm not supposed to be on. But I'm dealing with the pain pretty good."
